FOUNDATION BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# G2314007. Bbl. 24". Model 70 2001 Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard markings denoting the model and cal. designations above Winchester's mfg. information, with "-ROCKY MOUNTAIN ELK FOUNDATION 2001-" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a dull blue finish overall, save for on the bolt body, which is jeweled in-the-white. 1-piece checkered black synthetic pistol grip stock, with black synthetic trigger guard, and Winchester black rubber recoil pad. Receiver is factory drilled and tapped for scope attachment. Bolt matches the receiver via "4007", which is electro-penciled on the underside. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory dull blue finish, showing some scattered scratches and superficial handling marks, with a few scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Near mirror bore, exhibiting some small scattered spots of light surface oxidation, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Synthetic stock shows scattered superficial scratches and marks, as well as some spots of marring to the checkering, but otherwise remains sound. PROVENANCE: From the PMRB Collection. (25-5953/MLW).
